Gribz 850
Ian Dowie is the first EPL manager of the season to leave. I was close to putting money on him at 6/1 not long ago when it was Pardew, Roeder and Pierce the bookies favourties. 12 games might be a bit harsh but they were struggling and i thought he was a wrong appointment in the first place. Curbishley had massive boots to fill and Charlton needed to get onto the same level and appoint a big name and not an up and coming manager. Hoddle is top candidate but i wouldnt touch him with a barge pole
Whosthedado 1,680
12 games is nowhere near enough for me. There were signs he was starting to get somewhere. V harsh I think. Who'll be next for the chop??
alanmidd 0
They have appointed the assistant there as the new head coach and are looking to bring someone to help out, I imagine in an Director of football capacity
Gazza_8 233
Was never the right man for the job. They should've aimed a bit higher and gone for a big name manager who has managed at the top level. Iain Dowie's level is in the Championship and that's wheree he'll be headed shortly. I think Pearce is the next to go or maybe Roeder.

Gribz 850
Just read a article on the boy Reed, he has quite a good CV as a coach: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/charlton_athletic/6148024.stm
Jon 0
Never knew any of that Gribz, as you say certainly impressive but cant see him keeping them up
Leppardized2001 0
Think Roeder at Newcastle will definitely be the next to go. Messers Shepard and Hall are not famed for their patience and having seen a few of their performances this season you just can't see where the goals are going to come from what with Michael Owen out for the long term and Martins having trouble asjusting to the Premiership. At the start of season I thought they'd do ok and considered the £5 million capture of Damien Duff one of the transfers of the summer.
