Oh dear Steven Naismith

Recommended Posts

Naismith could have said he wants to leave because Rangers will be at a lower level for a while and he considers himself to be heading for his prime.

At the same time he could have also emphasised "Rangers continue as they always have done, the fans will be the same, the club will be the same and I will continue to support the same club I did as a boy as they aim to get back to the top."

That really is about all I wanted.

Rangers will always be Rangers to most fans, it doesn't look like it to Naismith and Whittaker and others on what they saying and doing with this no history rubbish. We have no money and they decide to walk away free when they could've helped, that's not much of a true supporter in my eyes sorry. It's not like they haven't been paid handsomely while being at our great club in the past and when being out injured for long periods and that goes for both of them. If they can't do this to help the club they say they love when IMO they could easily do and still leave to go on to another club, they are not much of a true supporter to me.

I won't hate them but I have lost some respect for them after yesterday.

Hang on, both these players took a substantial pay cut to help the club. I've already explained why I think they don't want their registrations transfered over.

I've no issues at all with you having lost some respect for them, that's seems a pretty fair comment.

Do you want him to say that or to believe it, or say it even if he doesn't believe it? You see the dilema.

Are the players back on full wages? If they are I would kick these turncoats out the door immediately and get them off the wage bill. If they don't want to be here cheerio. We need to tell the players either to wait like the rest of us until we know exactly whats going to happen or leave now.

Yeah, this loyalty card we're playing with Naismith is hypocritical. We took him to our hearts because he's an exceptional player. We'd no option but to stick by him through his injuries. Had he come back a carthorse a large section of our support would have wanted him sold instantly.

He's told us his view on our club, his view is informed by his experiences, I don't understand why we're not anxious to ask him why he's arrived at them instead of calling him all the cunts in the world for holding them.

His so-called boyhood fan status clearly played a big part, Naismith didn't get going that quickly.

He's arrived at these 'views' because he doesn't have the guts to simply say he doesn't want to play in the Scottish Lower Leagues and wants to keep a high wage.

I believe they both made the no history dead club comments simply because they are trying walk away from their contracts , by spinning shite like dead club, no history they are attempting to strengthen their case . Its all about 'kerching' , clawing back money they lost from the wage cut .

IMO They put the boot in for their own personal gain , and never gave us the fans a second thought when doing so .

That's pretty much what he did say!

I disagree, being a boyhood fan cuts little ice with the majority of our match going support, in fact I'd say imports get a fairer crack of the whip. But it's not really the point today.

He'd have kept his 'high wage' had he TUPE'd across, he's got a contract that couldn't be broken by the club, so it isn't that. The lower leagues thing is plausible and excusable, indeed I think he did basically say that.

We have to remember that by the act of turning up for training, they would apparently declare their consent to being TUPE'd. This seems mad, but if that's the case then it would easily force players' hands.

It's a whole legal minefield.

Don't blame them but I wish they hadn't said the stuff about the club not being the same one anymore. That's all I've got left to hold on to!
