What happens to existing kit/sponsorship deals?

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been done before but....

If the company that ran Rangers previously is dissolved/liquidated/whatever, what happens to existing contracts regarding Umbro and Tennants? Are they null and void as they were agreed with the old co.?

It would be good if we could get a new kit deal that is more lucrative? Maybe a Nike or Addidas deal? At first I thought Nike would be a no-no as they don't generally work with 2 major teams from one city but now that Man City have signed a new deal with them (worth £12 million a year apparently) then that theory is out the window. Surely we sell more shirts than Man City?

Cheers in advance

Is it not up to the provider/supllier whether the contract is honoured? They signed a deal with a "company" that technically doesn't exist anymore?

did any of them get relegation or liquidation release clauses?

in truth its just another thing to add to the list of shit were not being told.

We need to reclaim this city back IMO. I hate the fact that you arrive at Glasgow Airport and immediately see a Celtic megastore. Makes me feekin sick TBH

What makes me sick is they must be running that shop as a loss leader, no way it's breaking even. How can they keep spunking money on things and show a profit something stinks in the tattiedome and its not the fans.
