RFFF Statement on today's meeting with Charles Green.

Andy's part of the rfff as well.

Yes, I'd imagine their statement was a majority decision as opposed to unanimous.

Interesting if the 'official' fan groups go against RFFF.

I don't think he goes as far as to say that.

He maybe doesn't say it outright but it seems clear enough to me.

However, I'd certainly agree its open to interpretation which isn't helpful.

its pretty simple.

some will renew no matter what.

some will fall away depending on circumstance.

some will only renew on revieving information on our future and assurances on the destination of the money.

no ones right no ones wrong but if green wants maximum cash he better start talking. unless of course the answers are going to drive away more than it attracts I suppose.

Of course, as with the threat posed by the supporters groups of other clubs, how much value does any threat by the RSTor RSA et al have on ticket renewals? 5%, 15%, 70%. I would assume that if this is well managed via the Rangers site, the cries of some discontent will remain just that. (Obviously, the mhedia will spin their own web of distrust.)

"It was interesting to hear that Walter Smith and his party withdrew when they didn't get assurances on some of the things they needed to hear. We need evidence about what Mr Green plans to do."

Im confused by that part , King came out of his meeting with Green and said he "was not unhappy" then the next day Walter Smiths party withdrew their bid .

Why withdraw their bid if they "never got assurances on some of the things they needed to hear". Surely that would be a reason to stick in, up their bid and try and gain control of the club ?

Also seems to contradict King saying he was not unhappy.

They withdrew because they DID get assurances. The statement was badly worded. The point was they didn't have these assurances at the time of the offer and so at that time they were worried enough to try and gain control of the club.
