Smith consortium withdrawing bid ??!

Recommended Posts

Fair enough. I'd have thought banking arrangements were the first thing that should have been done but I'm no expert.

For me, it's just another worrying sign of someone struggling to move the club forward.

Agree with all that.

It's possibly the most worrying sign. Much of the other stuff is just coming from the hysteria that's built up in certain sections of the support where people have convinced themselves that Green must be bad an are looking for ways to justify it, but this is straightforward nuts and bolts.

There should be no problem getting bank facilities. I'm sure that could be arranged today if required. However overdraft/loan facilities are a totally different thing.

Would he be desperate enough to put the assets up as security for an overdraft??? Knowing that administration could be a possibility in the not too distant future!

Actually, no matter what was being said above, do we expect that folk like Zeus Capital would not know somesuch in advance? With these sort of stories it is really a kind of 'waiting for another 24h' before starting to push the panic buttons. We've been hearsay-noselead for quite some time now.

perhaps green didn't plan on being around long enough to need a bank account.

could well be true, Green IMO has to sell as it looks like they don't have the finance or desire to take us forward. he's just holding out for as much as he can.

Based on what?

Nothing is coming out the club giving us fans answers at this trying time. No one knows what to do with season ticket sales and again the club has said nothing on this matter which is amateurish as best. More bad news than good keeps coming out the club and again they say nothing. Surely bank accounts as has been said for the newco should've been sorted by now along with other details yet they still expect fans to buy season tickets going to the oldco accounts? Is there any real proof that Green has money in place to back us to the £30m or so he said he would apart from verbal assurances?

The story could be just that, a story.

While I understand everyone's sentiments "to know" whatever happens at Ibrox these days, there should be reality enough in anyone that no such info will be easily forthcoming in any satisfactory way. It never has done, and it never will be. Be that Rangers FC or any other club. We have been laid bare to the world during admin and I assume any company director will hate such events, for all sorts of vultures will look upon this information with glee ... and I do not speak of media bampots or deluded supporters of other teams.

We will get the information deemed necessary, no matter what we want or feel to be in our rights. If that p*sses off a few people, so be it. For the good of the club - right now - I hope the next detailed information about our accounts, finances et al come out before the next AGM.
