CHRIS GRAHAM - Charles Green doesnâ??t have to be pantomime villain

Recommended Posts

Good piece but I disagree with:

I don’t think there is any doubt now that Green has lost the backing of Ally McCoist.

I'm not sure Ally ever backed him in any way - I don't actually think much has changed apart from The Gaffer coming along and changing the landscape a little.

What sort of backing is a football manager supposed to give the owners of a club? Is it not supposed to be the other way round?

If the Smith Group take over would you expect a statement from McCoist giving them his full backing or does that just go without saying?

Endorsement, I guess.

He gave his endorsement to every single bidder Rangers got.

Ally backed Craig Whyte right till things became totally clear about him, because he is that type of person.

So his attitude towards Green has been surprising to say the least. Like many fans feeling no-one can be trusted anymore?

so far as I can make out ver few of the staff like or trust green one bit.
