Uncertainity prevails over position of Ally McCoist

This is a very bold move from Green. Proven managerial talent with an ability to ensure players excel is needed above anything else at the new Rangers. Keeping the floundering, almost certainly out-of-his-depth playing legend as manager would be the easy route for Greet to adopt. If he's looked at the managerial team, assessed their strengths/weaknesses and decided he has to act, fair play to him.

If this happens and McCoist leaves, Green will rise in my estimation.

I think it's fair to criticise McCoist and his performance last season wasn't great (if we concentrate fully on the on-the-field matters). To that end, perhaps appointing a new manager is Green's right. Though can we really afford to bring anyone new and who does he have in mind? Someone who will sit back and allow people like Stretford and McDonald to conduct our transfer business?

However, I'm also not surprised about this at all as I had heard McCoist was less than convinced by Green. Obviously though there's a difference between thinking Green is the wrong man and/or being worried about your job (or any budget to do it).

McCoist should make that difference clear.
