Duff and Phelps must explain why they put trust in Charles Green

Recommended Posts

They can raise questions at the creditors meeting but what's in the proposal is what they are getting. They either accept or reject went to one with a mate about as much fun as a kick in the baws.

They can also call for amendments to be made to it.

Traynor is going to discredit anyone trying to take us forward. He has from day one insisted we will be liquidated and cannot back down as he has repeatedly told the world in the papers and on radio. If the richest man in the world wanted us it would still be dodgy to Traynor.

That's fair enough but it's not just Traynor asking the questions. Our fans are too.

actually a lot of us are creditors and are due answers.

Make that "some", for I doubt that "a lot" of us really hold debentures, or massive amounts of something CVA-relevantish.

Again, only a certain number of people have to be informed about club internal stuff. Sure, somesuch can lead to a Whyte scenario, but what? ... 95% of all British clubs over the last 50odd years have not talked about every internal detail with the press despite the latter wanting to know all ... and nigh all of these clubs run "smoothly".

Obviously, we all want to know some more facts and plans et al, but we as much as Traynor & Co. should be realistic with the amount of info we/they can really demand.

Which to me is mainly based on the idea no-one can be trusted after the last two owners, rather than real genuine concerns.

IMO anyway.

It's all about opinions which is why forums such as these are good fun. :)

Do you think his CVA is a great deal for the club and creditors? Do you think it's possible the terms of his deal may have changed over the last fortnight? Are you confident in his claims he has money to fund club? Do you think a share issue on AIM will be successful? I could go on all day!

Loads of questions and, while I agree people are perhaps a bit over suspicious, these questions are valid and we need a bit more comfort if we;re to fully trust Green.

Charles Green didn't create this situation at all, yes it will be a disappointment if the CVA doesn't work but he nor any of the investors are oil tycoons, so there's no way to force HMRC's hand. Especially considering some think they could be willing to take less money to make a big example.

The questions are valid, it's just my opinion that they're a bit pointless considering our situation, maybe that's me giving up too easily. We're seriously ill on life support, Green to me is a surgeon having a last minute go at trying to save us, and can't really be faulted if he fails.

Fuck me, Bill 'Medical' Miller returns!
