He mentioned last week that they were interested in Lafferty, and today that has stepped up given they were promoted on Saturday. Apparently he has a £575k release fee that takes effect from 01/06 and he has no interest in renegotiating that. I'm not particularly fussed if he goes, but we really need to get this registration ban sorted out. If other players leave for similarly knock down fees, then we could be in a huge mess. Hehas produced the goods, but not often enough and is always injured. Ah, our loyalty when a story about a rumoured departure kicks in is truly heartening.
