Billy Dodds explains his EBT Contribution

Recommended Posts

IIRC Rooney has a Ltd company set up structure in which he hasother revenues such as image rights, sponsorships, endorsements etc - and that will allow him to pay different tax levels.

Pretty sure Marvin Andrews came out like Thursday or Friday and said he would should his pay slips which showed tax in it.

Also interesting. It's good to see our guys would not cooperate with Daly at all, why should they? Something Daly took as incrimination of their 'guilt'. But they are happy to separately publicly justify and defend their payment and the EBTs.

It's a bit of a finger up to the BBC really.

Yes he just stated that he got paid as per his contractual rights through an EBT, but on the other hand it was only one contact!

Right, so he hasn't stuck us in it with the SPL then.

My heads hurting with all this. I wonder when the FTT will reveal the result of the EBT case? :hm:

I know it's a weird one, sticks us in it for the tax due but absolutely confirms that his receiving payment through an EBT does not constitute a second contract in any way shape or form.

Surely as it stands the dual contract charge is worse for us as a club than debate about how much tax we are due to pay on tax scheme that has already gone through our books.

Can someone also clear something up? If these agreements were contractual, I thought all contracts needed to be ratified by the SFA?

Of course it is but the drum the Taigs are beating is that getting paid through an EBT is in effect a second contract while here we have Billy Dodds demonstrating that his payment through the EBT was contractual i.e with the contract that was registered with the SFA and nothing whatsoever to do with a second contract.

I wonder if he would have defended Rangers and condemned Yorkston, if he hadn't been named.

Does it matter? Would you get involved in something that doesn't effect you directly?

If he did say anything many people would say "oh there's Dodds seaking the limelight again.
