GREEN GANG FALLING APART - Exclusive

CHARLES GREENâ??S bid to snare Rangers is falling apart... because the Green gang is breaking up.

And that has led to controversial administrators, Duff and Phelps - who are now being investigated by the all powerful Insolvency Practitioners Association â?? DELAYING the deadline for Green making his proposals for a CVA public by another THREE days.

But I can now exclusively reveal that the ONLY proof of funds Charles Green has provided to the increasingly under suspicion Duff and Phelps, is a letter from Manchester businessman Michael McDonaldâ??s bank.

There is NO MONEY lodged with any financial advisors, or with any London lawyers, to fund the Green Gang to buy Rangers or to run Rangers.

McDonald, as I have insisted all along, is the main man, the big player behind the scenes, for the bid Charles Green is fronting.

And earlier this week Michael McDonald, the leader of the Manchester Quality Street Gang, went public and declared he was pulling out of the deal, because of the Scottish Football Associationâ??s year-long ban on Rangers signing players.

McDonald lifted the lid on how he had planned to rip of Rangers in a purely money making scheme when he admitted all he was interested in was making a quick profit on players HE would own, by buying them cheap and selling them on for a higher fee.... with McDonald pocketing the profit, but Rangers getting NOTHING.

Duff and Phelps have now moved to try to overturn that ban in the Court of Session, but the earliest that could be heard would be mid August. Only then would Rangers be able to seek Interim Interdict to have the SFA transfer ban lifted until the case went all the way through the Court of Session, something which could take until next winter.

For the moment though, Michael McDonaldâ??s last public statement was to insist he wanted nothing more to do with the Charles Green fronted bid.

McDonald said if he couldnâ??t pocket a profit right away he was NOT interested in Rangers.

That leaves the Green Gang with NO substantial funds and Green with NO proof of being able to get his hands on the sort of money needed to keep Rangers running with no income through June and July, as well as the cash needed to satisfy creditors, notably the tax man, and convince them not to block a CVA.

All of which makes a mockery of what Duff and Phelps said in Fridayâ??s Herald.

Duff and Phelps claimed that Charles Green had shown them a substantial financial commitment, with Paul Clark saying:We have seen proof of funds.

Surely Duff and Phelps man Paul Clark did not mean a vague letter from Michael McDonaldâ??s bank saying that he was good for a few quid?

For that, according to my well informed source, was the extent of so-called proof of funds which the now under investigation administrators, Duff and Phelps, were talking about.

It was NOT substantial.

It was NOT a financial commitment.

And it was NOT proof of funds.

Yet, as late as yesterday, Duff and Phelps were still banging the drum for Charles Green, still trumpeting the Green Gang and claiming that when the CVA proposals are finally published, they are going to be â??SUBSTANTIAL DOCUMENTS.â?

But Duff and Phelps also said those proposals would be published on the official Rangers web site on Friday, unless there was a hitch.

There's no sign of them so far, therefore there MUST be a hitch. And that hitch is the fact there's NO MONEY to back Charles Green's wild claims.

Tomorrow I shall take you on a trip down the time line of the delaying tactics being employed by Charles Alexander Green, date of birth 23rd, May 1953, in apparent collusion with the now under investigation Duff and Phelps And explain what it all means.

And tell you exactly when Charles Green will finally name the men behind the bid.

One of whom we now know is the man whose bank produced a letter saying he was worth a few quid, but who now wants nothing more to do with Rangers, the leader of the Manchester Quality Street Gang, Michael McDonald.

DOUGLAS McROBB is the name of the Dundee United supporting sports editor of the Scottish Daily Mail.

He used to do what is known as a casual subbing shift on the Sunday Mail when I worked there in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

So I know he is a man with as much hatred of Rangers as he has love of Dundee United.

He is also best buddies with convicted arsonist Mike Watson.

I mention all of the above in an effort to attempt to explain why, on the day when Rangers were celebrating the landmark 40th anniversary of the club's European Cup Winners Cup triumph, Douglas McRobb's Scottish Daily Mail chose to print TWO stories over TWO pages celebrating NOT the Barcelona Bears, but the Lisbon Lions.

Does Douglas McRobb think Rangers fans don't notice these things? Does he and his best buddy, arsonist Mike Watson, think the real Daily Mail powerbrokers don't notice these things?

Reading the Scottish Daily Mail from front to back is a strange experience. Through the news and features pages it adopts a tone similar to that of its big brother, the two million selling Daily Mail.

But when the reader gets to Douglas McRobb's sports section it is as though that reader has fallen off the edge of the Scottish Daily Mail and landed in the...

GUARDIAN!

Ah, the Guardian. More of it and its ties to Odious Creep, soon.

If it's true that the only proof of funds Green gave Duff and Phelps is a letter from McDonald’s bank, then the Green takeover could be in real trouble.

Not that I believe Leggo, but yes, it's interesting.

Interesting and worrying.

I find it strange that Rangers fans are jumping with joy that the only people who look like saving the club are being rubbished by a drunk senile poor excuse for Phil of the many names.

But I tell you what let the green bid fail and we can all twiddle our thumbs next season.

Really Phil 3 names must be sitting laughing up his sleeve at a so called Rangers man (don't laugh at the back) doing his best to pull the only viable plan to save the club to bits.
