Rangers take Scottish FA to court over its player signing ban

i would be more worried a out the judges persuasion. that the defence lawyer.

Very true, but the SFA's choice of defence lawyer is certainly very interesting in this current situation. I wonder who recommended Aidan O'Neill QC to Regan's SFA? Not that I'm suggesting conspiracy or anything, but I doubt if the SFA could have found a lawyer who'd be less sympathetic to Rangers had they hunted the whole of the UK. Interesting battle tactic.

I don't really care about that. I would be worried if he was representing the sfa v celtc mind you.

any lawyer will work to his best ability for his client.

I'm more concerned about the QC that Rangers have hired. His powers of persuasion were found to be lacking in the appeal hearing.

Good point, but I doubt very much if his name was just drawn out of a hat or picked at random. The SFA could at least have been a bit more sensible with their choice of QC given that the case is with Rangers. Even if there's not anything untoward involved it must at least be a sick joke and the joke appears to be on us again.

I dont really agree with your final sentence.

The SFA, if acting as they should when being challenged, SHOULD be looking for someone who will defend the SFA's position - it makes no difference whether their QC is anti-Rangers or not.

As gunslinger says, it is the judge's disposition which should concern us more.

So you are saying that even if this guy is the best, most qualified QC for the job they should have over-looked him because of his religious leanings. Sorry Zappa but that smacks of conspiracy piffle.
