David Grier claims Whyte withheld takeover information

No matter how many times you state the contrary the BBC aren't to blame for our current travails. Have you even seen last nights programme?

The point is not that the BBC are not to blame for our problems, but the way they go about their business. Half-facts, half-truths, and a fair amount of assumption and conjecture. Neatly mixed and presented by the BBC (sic!) makes it fact for most people on this planet.

And then people like you happen by and say Grier is a liar. After you saw him speaking on STV openly about what happened back then (something of which the BBC has seen some e-mails, but had no info whatsoever what was actually discussed back then and in what detail), putting his name and company on the line. Yep. Makes sense to me to say he's liar. Hence my remark about black & white thinking.

Sure there are and were some strange things going on. But neither is D&P by default guilty, nor is the BBC by default correct.

Yeah and Goebbels deserves no blame for the travails of the Jews...

Playing devils advocate here but where in all the emails does it say the ticketus money was to buy the club.

It doesn't, but....

Why was their nothing in the statement to creditors regarding this separate Ticketus deal?

Why, given all the statements from the administrators, has this deal never been mentioned?

Why, given that there have been court proceedings between Rangers and Ticketus, has none of this come out previously?

Why, when Grier and his cronies are being cornered, does this all come out?

In the emails Grier says he'll raise the invoice for Ticketus, now how the f*&k can he raise an invoice if he doesn't know the amount?

That is not the point. The bone of contention, I would assume, is that people imply that Grier knew how Whyte will use the Ticketus money, i.e. for buying Rangers, rather than financing the first few months. That is something Grier denies and IMHO it does not matter that he worked on other aspects of the deal with Whyte, for so too did Ticketus and they were also pulled over the table.

Of course it's the f*&king point ! Are you trying to tell me Grier thought the £24m was for working capital? waken up furfuxsake!

As for Ticketus they got greedy pure and simple, they knew there was something dodgy as demonstrated by their desire to see the old board removed asap.

Was there not a payment due to Ticketus for circa £9m at some point over the summer last year???

It's possible that Grier knew there was A deal with Ticketus in place, but maybe didn't know all the details ie. the full amount and what it was originally for. An invoice for £9m to cover initial working capital sounds pretty easy to explain to me.....
