SFA chief Stewart Regan demands Charles Green reveals his mystery backers

Recommended Posts

Okay, quid pro quo on transparency and clarity.

Stewart, how much of an influence is your brother, Michael? As a Senior Lecturer in Irish Studies at Durham University, when did Michael start blowing cheese through a hole in his balaclava?

We should be told.

The SFA have no right or jurisdiction to demand who the consortium members are!!!

I agree that the names should not come out until a CVA is agreed. At the moment, the important thing is that the funds are available for the CVA, not who supplied it (providing its legal etc).

Green has repeatedly said that the full list of consortium members will be released in due course. Hopefully by meeting with the SFA/SPL, Mr Green can give them enough information to satisfy them, without giving names etc.

Should all shareholders of all the clubs be named? We have what 26,000 - how many do Celtic have? I'm starting to think it sounds ridiculous. I agree that they should limit themselves to the board of directors.

IMHO, the names shall not be told to anyone as long as no CVA is agreed. I do not trust the SFA or SPL to keep a non-disclosure agreement and if HMRC et al get wind about a wealthy consortium member, they are likely to demand more money from a CVA. Who would not?
