Is it a coincidence that TBK pull out and Ticketus started legal proceedings today?

I'm trying to get my head around this and I just can't see how it could be a coincidence!

Brian Kennedy and Paul Murray said in their press conference that they had set Duff & Phelps a deadline of 12 noon today and Ticketus announce the commencement of legal proceedings against Whyte a couple of hours later?

What on earth is going on? Is it really just a coincidence??

I seriously doubt anyone thought for a second TBK were pulling out.

So they haven't pulled out after stating in a press conference that they were?

Some will say it's spin and lies.....:ninja:

I'd like to say it's a conspiracy but I'll plump coincidence, perhaps Ticketus think all the others will plump for newco and it's in their interest to start litigation now.

To be honest was surprised at how confident Brian Kennedy was that they would vote for a CVA.

What I don't fully understand is why TBK said they were pulling out because it was "too late" for a CVA approach when it's entirely possible for a CVA approach to begin next week or the week after if a buyer (or consortium of buyers) can fund the running of the club during the rest of the administration period.

Ours not to reason why, ours but to do and die.

There's a greater game being played out here where we can merely stand on the sidelines and watch. There's been so much said and done in this whole sorry saga that seems to defy all reasonable logic, nothing is ever what it first appears to be.

No, they're waiting on D&P's call apparently.

"If you want to talk to find a way to save this great club, Brian has said his phone will be on this evening otherwise I fear it will be too late."

I doubt he'll be waiting up this late though.

Kennedy said that today was the last day to start it in order to have it done before the startof next season. I see this rumbling on for some time yet.

Aye, but having it done before the start of next season isn't as important as the club's survival, so it's a bit misleading tbh, especially when their mantra or whatever you want to call it.... is all about the club's survival.
