Is it really all about the money?

Recommended Posts

The phrase '48 hours' does not mean a popular 80s action comedy starring Eddie Murphy any longer to Rangers fans. It is the phrase which seemed to permanently precede any announcement by the administrators regarding a preferred bidder. Delay followed delay and frustration mounted over the repeated failure to confirm one way or the other who the chosen bid was going to be from.

Finally, on Thursday the 3rd of May Duff & Phelps belatedly declared the preferred bidder was to be that of Bill Miller.

Ibrox Noise: Is it All About the Money, Money, Money?

So Bill Miller's the preferred bidder. What interest does he have in Rangers? Why an American trucking tycoon? Is he safe? Feedback appreciated as always gents and gentesses.

Good read.

The new UEFA\FIFA Fair play rules are also going to make it easier for clubs to actually be run on a profitable basis if they are enforced honestly. Unfortunately both associations don't do much honestly. When or if clubs do run within their means then the wages and price of players has to fall to an affordable level. Now may be a good time to step on board.
