Boycotting companies? - Maybe we should target the club sponsors?

Recommended Posts

We can all understand the idea of boycotting sponsors, but are we targetting the right ones?

We can understand the concept of boycotting SFA sponsors, but is that the best approach?

What about boycotting the main sponsors of other SPL clubs such as the Arabs? (Calor)

What about the sponsors of other clubs closer to home? (Nike)

Id see that as a tad unfair on those companies, they havent had any involvement and possibly believe we are being treated unfairly. If they were to publically come out and state we deserve all punishment then yes boycott them.

Im still for hitting the other clubs in the pocket directly by avoiding their grounds.

I agree with Zappa on this one.

The pressure group (us) has to "attack" the problem from as many different angles as possible.

If those sponsors of other SPL Clubs catch a whiff of negative publicity, they in turn put the pressure on asking for either better terms or even withdrawall.

This is a HUGE time for our Club and we must let everyone know what we are capable of.

In fact, I think we should have began our boycotts on the sponsors of other SPL Clubs in order to show we are not to be messed with, AND, as a way of guiding their hearts and minds. Maybe not all Clubs, but mainly those who are desperate to see us go under...Nike for example.

Who knows, this could help us attract more sponsorship, businesses who are in direct competition with other Clubs...Adidas for example.

The outcomes of this could be very beneficial indeed.

I'm with Gribz on this one, in the same way that I think its unfair to plan action to disrupt the Scottish Cup Final. Besides, with the SFA, our reasons for the boycott are clear, the target is clear and our support seems united behind that common goal. If we dilute the message or the target I think we're at risk of the whole thing petering out to nothing again after whats been an incredible start to it.
