chilledbear 16
In the cold light of day ... if they snatch a CVA, get the house in order, pay the staff and players according to their former contracts, we would essentially start next season with much the same squad like this one - bar Jelavic, but with a strong team spirit and some great prospects. I would hope that the transfer embargo can be reduced via appeal and the 10 point and income deduction garbage does not make it past next Monday. If it does, you'd hope that the Rangers support will give certain away grounds a wide birth while taking up more Rangers TV / radio subscriptions than ever before and thus bolster the club's finances instead of handing the money to those who harmed us. Hopefully this will be the start of the support flexing their muscles.

We won't be seeing much the same squad that's for sure, £10m has to chopped off our running costs come what may (whoever owns us).

I would take that now, even dropping down, just to know we were safe.

Remember that D&P are still looking to get 25m from Whyte and his lawyers (not necessarily in that order). :-)

der Berliner 3,686
Yes but the wheels of justice grind slowly As we have seen. And this could well end up with the lawyers sued going into insolvency et al. If there'S a chance though, themfolk beyond the Clyde would go bonkers if we actually even snatch half of that money despite being crippled. All that said and wood touched, so far we are no newco and maybe we'll have at long last some good news with regards to TBK and Kennedy.

You know what dB ? I actually hope that regardless of what happens with next Monday that us Bears retain a VERY long memory with regards to just who has tried to stiff us. I am hopeful that we STILL boycott away grounds - no longer should we be taken for granted as being the major contributor to the Scottish football coffers.
Zappa 0
Remember that D&P are still looking to get 25m from Whyte and his lawyers (not necessarily in that order). :-) There's no way the lawyers representing D&P on behalf of the club will get £25m out of either Whyte or Collyer Bristow. No chance. Whyte doesn't have anything remotely close to that sort of cash (imo) and neither does the spiffing polo player Gary Withey. As for Collyer Bristow, well they're a successful law firm, but they won't be stumping up £25m either. To be honest, I can't even understand why Duff & Phelps are going down that route. It's a total waste of money and the costs will be added to the D&P bill for our administration.
