Cancel Sources I have spoken to in S'pore say Ng never had means to pull this off & it stretched credibility to think he ever did #RFC

I've replied to him a few times mate.

Our fan groups, D&P, Alistair Johnston, KPMG, Asian media and reputable RFC fans say otherwise.

In saying that, obviously all information should be welcomed to ensure any bid is reputable.

The BBC do have a guy on each morning doing “business today” But to be honest. The BBC out here are a bit of a joke. they get as LOT wrong about the region. Far better media outlets have a far better grasp of what’s happening, and you know you can trust them. Not the BBC

As is being said on twitter now. Matt has missed the point the Bill Ng is the AP equivalent of Paul Murray, he’s the public face of a group of people that would rather stay in the background at this moment in time

How much should we rate his info? Never followed him.

There's no doubt Slater has some good info from time to time. Whether he's correct here, I can't say but he's certainly going against the grain.

People should always be clear about simple things. While journalists have quicker access to some news and hare after any single bid that makes them look good in their employers' eyes, we as "customers" have hardly a chance to verify what is being written. That is, what of the actual story is hearsay, conjecture, or assumption ... and how much is actually true. It looks that we have certain parts of press people taking "sides" and "shooting" at certain bidders. I have kind of returned to my "transfer rumour mode", that is, waiting at least 24 hours to make up my mind about the level of truth in the various info given by this or that quarter. (It is not easy though ... )

Ng has pulled out. BBC twitter

Don't we hate this? Writing a reply for 10 minutes, only to find news sneaking up behind your back!
