Bill Ng Deal Done?

Recommended Posts

I'd suggest that any improvement from Hougang has been limited. As for the fruit machines - we might yet see the opening of the Govan Grand Casino! :D

Obviously there are differences in expectations between those teams and Rangers.

It should be remembered that he's also only been in charge of Hougang for 2 years so I think there has been a decent improvement in their fortunes as has been made clear by the Sing press. For example, would you expect any new owner of St Mirren or the like to take them to SPL/cup success in two years?

Now, clearly there are many questions of the guy and he'd be well served to answer them if he's made preferred bidder. However that goes for all parties as so far information on their bids and who is involved is minimal at best.

I wouldn't expect total domination given their starting position, no, but they are still a bottom half team. If his PR is being run from over here by one of his prospective board members, they're making a right mess of it. In fairness, they are certainly not alone in that respect.

They just dropped into the bottom half last week. Mid-table seems more accurate.

His PR isn't being run from over here which is why we see the occasional error in his dealings with the Sing press.

They're still a bottom half team but have they improved, remained the same or become worse? Reports suggest a bit of improvement.

If we're still a top two team and have a bit of improvement then I'll be reasonably happy. I'm not looking for us to be winning the CL in the near future.

The main thing is to get the club into a sustainable position where it pays for itself but still competes for all domestic trophies. It needs to be run well to this.

If we do this our only real rivals will be Celtic and as they don't have many income streams more than us, we should be able to compete on a pretty even footing.

Who wins between the two is then up to chance - ie who puts out the better side using similar money.

I hope there is more to come.

None of the bids fill me with hope so far.

I don't think that we can make a fair judgement on any of them yet, given the lack of available information. It is fair to say that none of them stand out as being head and shoulders above the rest.

It’s there’s and or own level though. We’re not as big as we think we are as this whole mess proves
