Darthter 542
While I won't go as far as saying he looks a cracking player (yet..), I think based on his display today, he certainly looks VERY VERY promising!!! I thought that he handled the pressure cooker of the OF amazingly well. He sat in MF and confidently knocked the ball left, right, forward and when required backward all with precision - rarely wasted a pass. i liked the 3 man central mid, along with Edu & Davis. All in a top notch performance & I look forward to seeing more of McCabe in the coming weeks!!!
26th of foot 6,126
Agreed. Every time he took the ball in, his head was up. He pinged passes with pace, particularly on the diagonals. He interacted well with both Davis and Edu, little lay-offs keeping the moves going. I do not want to put pressure on the lad by comparrison; however, his constant supportive positioning and crisp passing remind me of Ray Wilkins.
BrahimHemdani 1
Considering it was his third start and second in MF, I thought he was very confident and assured and had no fear competing with Brown and sending long passes. I did think the MF3 gave us a problem on the right side of MF but Celtic (Samaras) were not able to exploit it despite Whittaker having his first game back. Yes very encouraging indeed; and if Ness could get fit and stay fit plus Hutton and Edu; I wouldn't worry if Davis slung his hook in the summer.
chilledbear 16
Yep would like to see Ness and McCabe, hope it can happen. Thought his passes to the forwards were very good, fast along the ground. Would have been easy to punt forward to McCulloch. ian1964 10,780
Being at the game I always like to wait to see the highlights before judging anything, but I thought the guy was superb,an absolute star in the making,he strolled through the game and for me was MOTM. The whole team were superb,as were the fans, but I'd give MOTM to him simply because he stepped up to the plate for such a young guy. Well done son.

ian1964 10,780
This lad had an excellent game today,in fact I would have given him MOTM. Trying not get too carried away but if todays performance is anything to go by we have a real prospect in him. Thoughts?.
