Gribz 919
Wylde is entitled to put himself and his career first. If I was him and was dropped from the team to allow 2 left backs in ahead of me Id have been wondering about my future at the club also! Nobody can enter Wylde's mind to see if he was genuniely helping the club up or not, but he is only 20 and will be getting advice from all angles thrown at him. He gave up a decent months wage to allow others to be paid and thats a good gesture all round. Im disappointed he left as I liked him as a player, would have made a difference on the park yesterday! Good luck to him.

Cracking point that Gribz and it's pretty bloody obvious too. Ally repeatedly playing left backs on the left wing instead of a left winger was driving me crazy, but it shouldn't just be about the left back/left winger difference because Wylde used to be a left back himself. For me it's more a case of the better option not being picked in certain games. I mean, Papac playing left midfield? That just isnae funny!
Zappa 0
There may be some youth developement money due to us. Don't think so Dutchy. I think it was voluntary redundancy on Wylde's part, so we might not be due a penny.
54andcounting 0
Papac was moved from his settled position at LB to fit signing Lee Wallace in there. Why the fuck we bought Wallace I have no idea. Back to the thread....Wylde was never productive as a 'Ger I said it many times and I'm in danger of repeating myself over and over and over again. Wylde imo was never, and was never likely to be a decent player to fill the jersey, the guy was basically a 2nd rate type of player the type of player plying their trade in the depth of mediocrity. Good luck to his mediocrity. He won't be missed.

I'm pretty sure he notched up something like 4 assists in the last 5 games of the season!

Respect your defence of Wylde but....4 assists in 5 games Zappa? Not enlightening when you look at the contribution of others.
54andcounting 0
I'm firing here, Whyte for me just wasn't Rangers class I felt the guy just lacked the ability to wear the shirt...maybe I'm being over expectant here, but Wylde annoyed me when on the park.

I wasn't a huge Wylde fan myself 54, but I would rather have had that lad playing on the left wing before Papac any day of the week. My only gripe with the whole Wylde departure is that the lad was worth money to Rangers and we could have sold him in the summer for 16 or 17 times what's been saved in wages till the end of the season. It was a mistake to let him go IMO, no matter how good a player any of us think he was.
forlanssister 3,114
We dealt him a hand of cards and he played them. Releasing him was voodoo economics at best, negligent behaviour imho. Not the best player in the world but just about our only option genuine pace wise, probably decided to chuck it because he was pissed off watching two left backs in his position.
Danny 0
You really believe in the bigger picture that , to be the case , or did he listen to old Frankie bhoy and get a dream move within 3 weeks to the premiership There's no part of me that denies he was also thinking about himself. But the fact is he waved money he was entitled to. And no matter what, that deserves credit and also saves jobs.
