Leggat - PHILMACGIOLLABHAIN, MATT McGLONE AND THE CHANNEL 4 PLOT

Recommended Posts

CHANNEL Four reporter Alex Thomson has been roped into an anti-Rangers campaign by Republic of Ireland based Philmacgiollabhain and rabid Celtic fan Matt McGlone.

Thomson was recruited after a McGlone move to involve the BBC’s London based Hugh Pymn, failed. McGlone got close to Pymn when the reporter covered the Celtic rebels takeover in 1994.

Philmacgiollabhain and McGlone now believe they have their man and will be able to set the agenda for, Alex Thomson the chief reporter of the left leaning Jon Snow fronted Channel Four News programme. Thomson says he wants to probe how Rangers have been run.

We all know the problems faced by the Ibrox club during the nine months conman Craig Whyte was in charge, but the clear implication from the Channel Four reporter is he has been given information stretching years back beyond that.

For Thomson has already reported that he has had a row with the Scottish Football Association over wild allegations he is believed to have made about president Campbell Ogilvie.

Ogilvie, who previously worked for Rangers, has been targeted by Philmacgiollabhain, who is on record as writing that he hopes Rangers die.

Now it seems that he wants to torpedo SFA president Ogilvie too and has recruited Channel Four’s Alex Thomson as the useful idiot to do his dirty work.

Philmacgiollababhain has also recruited the endorsement of well known extremist Republican, Celtic fanatic, Matt McGlone. McGlone has given his backing on Twitter to Channel Four’s Thomson and the reporter’s declared aim to target Rangers and Ogilvie.

Philmacgiollabhain has been in Twitter conversation with Alex Thomson and it is believed the two may have also spoken privately and could be planning to meet in Glasgow to plot their attack.

Alex Thomson has boldly declared that he and a Channel Four camera crew are due to touch down in Glasgow on Monday to begin filming their Philmacgiollabhain-Matt McGlone inspired hatchet job on Rangers and Ogilvie.

Philmacgiollabhain is also believed to be due to arrive in Glasgow today from his hideaway lair in Donegal. Hampden is buzzing with talk that he is due to take his place in the press seats at Sunday’s Scottish League Cup Final.

Scottish journalists heading for Hampden have already been tipped off and placed on red alert and are preparing plans to ensure they can avoid being pestered by Philmacgiollabhain as they were when they were in Dublin with Scotland.

It is also believed that Irish Republican ranter Philmacgiollabhain and McGlone may meet after the match to get their script ready for when Alex Thomson lands in Glasgow the following day.

This is just the latest in a series of disgraceful and totally unsubstantiated slurs from bitter and extremist Irish Republican and Celtic cyberspace aimed at discrediting the totally blameless Campbell Ogilvie, a completely honest man of utter integrity, who I first met more than 30 years ago.

It is to be hoped that despite the Celtic background these dreadful slurs are coming from, Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell, who sits around the SFA boardroom table with Ogilvie, declares himself as totally divorced from this low and dishonest campaign.

Lawwell should also declare, without ambiguity, that he knows Campbell Ogilvie and knows him to be a decent, honest and honourable man. As everyone who knows Ogilvie knows him to be.

It should also be made clear by Lawwell’s SFA boardroom pal, SFA chief executive, Stewart Regan, that he too knows Campbell Ogilvie to be beyond such suspicion and above reproach.

Regan has said so much already, but it would be well for him to keep saying it. Keep shouting it from the rooftops.

In fact, the pair, Lawwell and Regan, who work in tandem behind the scenes, should come out as a public double act to effectively shoot down this Philmacgiollabhain-Matt McGlone inspired Channel Four hatchet job.

Campbell Ogilvie is of course more than capable of defending his own honour and integrity with intelligence and sober, sound argument and I can confidently predict that he will do so by putting his cards on the table in the Sunday newspapers….

Spiking the guns of extremist pair, Philmacgiollabhain and Matt McGlone, along with their specially recruited useful idiot, left leaning Channel Four News’ Alex Thomson.

……..

AND……

HAVING already mentioned Scottish Football Association board member and Celtic chief executive, Peter Lawwell in one context, here is he popping up in another.

And having manager Neil Lennon do his dirty work for him.

Celtic have banned the Daily Record after a row over the paper’s story about Celtic refusing to pay up front for their tickets for next weekend’s Old Firm game at Ibrox.

Lawwell vehemently denies entering into any such a gentleman’s agreement. Well, he would, wouldn’t he?

Think about it!

The Record, just as confidently, have declared they are sure of their ground and certain they have the proof to confirm their story, as they would have to should Lawwell decide to sue.

So just why, instead of a ban on the Daily Record, does Peter Lawwell not settle the matter in the Court of Session?

Your guess is as good as mine.

.........FINALLY......

ARE you looking forward to another - ANOTHER? - penetrating, incisive, well written and well informed column from Odious Creep in tomorrow's fast fading Sunday Herald?

With bated breath?

No, me neither!
