Give us our ten points back then and while you're at it, sack that incompetent Muppet Regan.

Pfft, I'd rather not have the 10 points.. we get the points back and they will then say the title isn't tainted.

Confusing business all this, basically they forgot to notify the FSA... Question: Are Duff & Phelps new to Administration or is this a easy made error because of things outwith their control?

This quote from the STV article should answer your question:

  Quote
A spokesman for Duff & Phelps said: "Following our appointment as administrators of Rangers Football Club, investigations revealed the company was registered with the Financial Service Authority between 2008 and 2009. This discovery meant that our appointment should have been notified to the FSA by the directors of the company and consented to in advance.

So basically their registration had lapsed...

That's not how it reads to me, no.

It looks as though Craig Whyte and the directors of RFC should have notified the FSA of the intention to appoint administrators before doing so. That's how it reads to me, although I could be wrong.
