So we're playing European style rather than Scottish style?
pete 2,499
So we're playing European style rather than Scottish style? Yes! We don't like the old Scottish steel snapping at our ankles.
Guest honeyi
Le Guen is still adapting to the Scottish way of playing. Once he achieves this we will start to see a change in the league......hopefully:admin: PS WATP

Although we have a number of French speaking players, speaking English will help him communicate. I also think going on the first few games of the season and tonights game, the return of Clement will make a very big difference.

When PLG arrived he told the squad that even though there were many players that spoke French they played in the Scottish League and, as such, they would be required to converse in English during training and games. I believe he said this to prevent the "clique" type atmosphere that, to an extent, was DA's downfall. 2. Clement I believe will very much be a star. Still a young guy I wish we had another 10 22 yr olds with his quality. I was at the Dundee Utd 2-2 game and he bossed the game throughout. I think that with Clement doing the defensive midfield duties it will allow Barry Ferguson to get further forward and be more of a creative force, which I feel is where he is best. In other words I think that Clement will bring the best out of Fergie, and, vice versa too I think.

I wasn't saying you said anything wrong my man, just that this was PLG's intention (speak English) from the get-go ! I also think that he is also starting to see just how passionate the supporters are for their club. And when his English is much improved his team talks will be a fair bit easier and, hopefully, more rousing too.

We are funny enough playing some lovely football,we just have to do it more consistantly and in SPL games. Still got my doubts about Boyd and Sebo long term though, they were both pretty crap tonight. Maybe not fair on Sebo as he wasn't on for long, but he looked like a big girls blouse tonight.
