Craig Whyte sells/sold a piece of our history?

I read somewhere that Rangers bought 4 shares over 100 years ago, becuase Arsenal were in financial difficulty and there was a friendship between the managers or owners at the time., I'll try and find the link. When Arsenal got on their feet again, they then gifted Rangers 12 further shares as a thank you for their support. This is what he is alledged to have sold off. Is nothing sacred to this guy? He has ripped the heart out of this club and the sooner he has no links to it the better.

A leading member of the Arsenal Trust has commented:

Tells us all we really need to know about Craig Whyte it seems to me - a man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

It is indisputable that these shares belonged to Rangers not Whyte. Surely there has to be a way for Rangers' creditors to benefit from the proceeds? I'm no expert on insolvency or company law but any transfer of the shares without full market consideration before or during administration would be theft or misappropriation wouldn't it?

The effect on Arsenal is over-stated. The only thing Usmanov gets for getting to thirty percent is complete access to the books. He would also have the obligation to make an offer for the rest of the equity but he can do that at any time of course.

Right now I wish I'd never heard of Stan Kroenke or Alisher Usmanov. A plague on both their houses. I'd imagine you feel the same about Messrs Murray & Whyte.
