Scotland Beware... Our Standard is Raised.

Its funny how things can turn around. Ask any Rangers supporter who has been following our club's saga on message boards, social networks, news channels and printed media. If this was a tv soap it would be criticised for having too much drama. Where it will end goodness only knows, this bear has long given up trying to even remotely predict the outcome.

Instead perhaps it's worth turning our attention to what we do know.

On the announcement of administration for Rangers there were a fair few people who could barely contain their joy, they texted about it, they tweeted about it and they openly laughed and joked about it.

But they ain't laughing now.

In fact they are sitting watching events unfold with increasing alarm and a dawning realisation.

Its not the fact that every 5 minutes or so news commentaries are describing Rangers as the most successful club in the world, nor is it even that we are being hailed as the biggest and best supported club in Scotland or that we are an institution, which is an integral part of Scottish society, and part of the identity of millions of people not just in this country but around the globe. Neither is it that politicians, from first ministers to prime minsters and commentators from the world of sport and beyond sport, are openly encouraging Rangers to survive and come through this troubled time.

No, what is causing mass trepidation amongst those who hate Rangers is that the events of the last few days have shaken the colossal beast which is the Rangers support out of hibernation. The fabled army has risen and is on the march and God help anyone or anything which gets in its way.

The majority which has been silent for far far too long, have finally found their tongues. In cities, in towns, in villages, in glens, in valleys, in shires the call to arms for the Rangers is being answered. But donâ??t think this mobilisation will be restricted to merely a football club and sport. That's the problem with kinetic energy, once you get a huge mass moving who knows where it will stop. Perhaps that's why so many politicians wish to be seen to be supporting Rangers cause in these troubled times. I suspect they realise that not only have the Rangers support remembered how to use their voice, but also their vote.

Even now the foot soldiers of this army are starting to ask the awkward questions and identify those who appear to stand in their way, the enemies of this club are being noted, and they will not be forgotten. Not now. Not ever.

Moreover lessons have been learnt. The placing of trust in certain individuals, and following faithfully without question have been exhausted. I have a feeling once realised this will extend beyond the spheres of Rangers FC to the very fabric of the society they live in. Isn't kinetic energy a bitch ?

There may come a day when football supporters accept with a mere shrug of the shoulders that their football club is all but gone.

But this will not be the day. Nor will it be Rangers FC.

I just posted something similar on my Rangers Facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=236946086394423

Being a Rangers fan.

We all know how tough this last 6-9 months have been. We've been through the wringer on more than one occasion, the fans are split over CW but i think it's safe to say the tide is quickly changing towards CW not being too popular with Rangers fans.

He "could" still have a master plan, but the fact AJ has called the police and government into action with information he may have, that itself says a lot. A man of his intelligence and business acumen does not contact the authorities because someone stole his pocket money.

This is serious, the gloves are well and truly off. I am still on the fence with CW, but that is a long way to come when i was championing CW.

These millions of pounds missing for the Rangers bank accounts is a worry. Will we actually ever see it or has it been buried in a Swiss bank vault that the club will never ever see again?

I have said on here many times "Rangers are going nowhere" as we know our beloved club, and yesterdays press conference with the admin guys cemented my feelings on that. I do believe that if there was even a quarter chance os us going into liquidation then they would have said,"Yes, there's a 25% chance of Rangers going into liquidation" Smoke and mirrors is not part of the rhetoric of Administration people, they know we want and deserve the truth and will give us the cold hard facts even if we don't want to see it.

The one thing that this whole ugly situation has is brought Rangers fans together, even if we are on other sides of the fence, we still all have one thing. OUR RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB and that has been heart warming, in fact it's been emotional to read and see at times.

Ally's "we don;t do walking away" was hairs on the back of the neck stuff. I didn;t post about it last night as i was too scared i'd cry like a big baby in front of the Mrs and Kids who were running around mad at the time >:-D

I have been critical of Ally's managerial skills, but there is no man in this World i would want as my manager right now than Ally McCoist. He is Rangers, he bleeds blue and he is you and i to the core.

There's more than a sleeping Giant woken here, there's a MONSTER been woken up around the globe. This is going to galvanise the Rangers supposrt more than any Champions league win would, we have been given a boot up the arse and woe betide anyone that gets in our way.

Our haters (and there's many) are doing everything they can to kick us out of existence, but yesterday, with politicians from all sides of the political spectrum are right behind us, they know that Rangers are Scottish football. When you read various news outlets saying,"The Worlds most successful football team/The best supported club in Scotland/ In the top 4 or 5 clubs in the UK, our haters veins will be bulging to the extent they need to dial 999 to go to casualty.

It's also heartening to see clubs like Dunfermline, Galatasaray and Kilmarnock saying nice things about us. They know it's not the fans fault that this has happened, they know we've been fucked over buy DM and CW, so we should never forget that.

But, from this day on, we can all stand up and be so fucking proud to be a Rangers fan. I believe this will reignite the atmosphere at Ibrox for ever more, as well as bring the fans closer together we will look back at this period and realise that we could have been no more, i know a lot of fans would find it hard to give the same support and passion to a "Phoenix" Rangers football club, i myself have questioned my own commitment to a new Rangers and i can't honestly say with i could support them or not?

Don;t get me wrong, there is a lot of dark and nasty days ahead of us, we aren't out the woods yet, but there's a light appeared at the end of a long dark tunnel that we're now walking as one towards with our heads held high. chest puffed out and fists raised.

Now, as one, we can all stand up and be as proud as we ever had and truly say

WE ARE THE PEOPLE

Motherwell, although still in debt have just posted a profit yesterday, and they were in admin not so long ago.

Things might be a bit more complex at Rangers, but I'm sure we will come through this.
