ascender 352
So it isn't the EBT thing that's forced us in to admin, its our current financial situation since Whyte took over?
rbr 1,247
Amazed that any who thought that we should pay any bills , considering those in charge knew administration was the likely outcome , why throw more money down the stank , the difference between us the supporters and those in charge (hopefully) , they let their brain dictate a course of action , we use our hearts , big difference
forlanssister 3,083
Reading the club statement posted above by Little General it would appear that hmrc forced our hand. However,it states that "The Club did not want nor anticipate having to take this course of action today but had no option" This would suggest we would have taken this action at a later date anyway. I am going to refrain from Whyte bashing but I hope to God he knows what he is doing. Was it the club or the group as floating charge holder though ?
Jim1955 12
Apparently some 9 million pounds in taxes unpaid since last may. The source is Douglas Fraser of the bbc on Twitter. You can tell he's enjoying this.

Its both , one influences the other , once HMRC let it be known they werent for negotiating I dont believe CW had any other option , plus getting our own administrator is absolutely massive

Danny 0
If you have an outstanding tax bill due to no cash, then more tax bills will simply mount up.

You can tell he's enjoying this. There's an argument that we were trading illegally and Whyte could end up in soapy bubble (again). I guess this may have been part of HMRC's argument today.

I wonder if they and the Insolvency Service will now go down an other route.
