hearts fan reports match official

Recommended Posts

Hearts supporters have reported assistant referee Willie Dishington to the Scottish Football Association following their game with Dunfermline.

Season-ticket holder Steve Gilroy alleges that Dishington made inflammatory gestures to the crowd and has emailed a complaint to the SFA.

Gilroy told the Daily Record other fans have also demanded action to be taken against the official.

The SFA's head of referee development, Donald McVicar, declined to comment.

The Tynecastle game finished 1-1 with the alleged incident sparked in the second half when Dishington gave decisions against Hearts players Deividas Cesnauskis and Roman Bednar.

And Gilroy said: "Dishington was turning round and pointing at fans in the crowd and as he passed Section D, where I sit, he clearly picked out one fan and provoked him.

"I sent an email to the SFA on Saturday night because there's no place for this type of behaviour in Scottish football."

Things like this make me laugh. We as fans hurl all sorts of abuse at the officials then when one of them has the audacity to respond all hell gets let loose. Hearts fans are the biggest bunch of moaners going and the official was no doubt taking dog's abuse. The police should of told the boy to take a hike
