Darrell King On Whyte

Recommended Posts

I don't think anyone is saying the PM alternative to Whyte would have been a better (or worse) outcome.

We just want to know more than Whyte intentions so we can move forward. I appreciate that it is somewhat difficult for him to be candid to avoid prejudicing the HMRC judgement but that doesn't mean he should be above constructive criticism.

The trouble with football fans, and the public in general. They'd rather speculate on matters that are not the facts to prove that the facts are better than their specualtions.

I need a break from all this.

he doesn't need to go into detail Ergatrude, but he could at least tell us something. Then again, everything he's said so far has not proved to be incorrect, to say the least.

But here lies the problem. He has been more forthcoming with us than any other chairman we have had, yet he is either ignored, ridiculed or doubted. I honestly think that if Jimmy Saville had taken over Rangers he wouldn't have been able to please the fans.

If you're happy with a man that claims to have bundles of cash to fund the running of our team, then morages off every stream of income we appear to have, then I applaude your loyalty, but not your curiosity.

He has never said that he has bundles of cash, the papers did. He has said that he has enough money to get Rangers in a position to be a self sustaining club.

This lack of information, or indeed, inaccurate information just seems to allow the media to have a field day and they're not the slightest bit worried about the standard threat of legal action, so I doubt the negativity will stop, which is bad for the public image of our team.

But the media say what they want & people believe it anyway.. They claim he mortgaged off £24.4m, CW has since said the figure was "closer to £20m" yet even in todays papers they are still quoting £24.4m

But everyone's entitled to their opinion, mine is I doubt CW is the man for the job. It's all very well to blame the last regime, but it's not the last board I'm talking about, it's the present mob.

I completely agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion & don't get me wrong, I have issues with the current board aswell. For instance why are they allowing our best young talent to leave the club? Why did they sign our top stars into long contracts with high wages & then claim that the wage bill is too high? (I assume this was to increase their transfer price).

I just disagree with the fact that CW is being painted as the villain for the tax case & debt etc etc when he had absolutely nothing to do with it.
