Celtic boss Lennon let rip in an astonishing rant yesterday, admitting he has no sympathy for his Old Firm rivals. Gers face administration amidst a tax battle with HMRC which leaves their future uncertain. But Lennon hit out: "I have a certain sympathy with Ally McCoist because it's his first year in the job and I'm sure he didn't envisage the problems he has had. "But somebody must have seen it coming. Do I have sympathy in that respect for them? No. "Have they brought it upon themselves as a club? Yes. "We have cut our cloth accordingly for years and have had to bite the bullet a few times. "In my opinion, it would work that way if it was any club." Rangers spent much of the transfer window trying to sell their star man â?? with Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic eventually joining Everton on deadline day. But Lennon did all he could to add to his squad, just missing out on Newcastle United forward Leon Best. Of course, even during these last years of financial restraints, his lot was not good enough and despite having twice as many superstars at his disposal, he hardly gets any great success or runs away with the title. And no matter what, should his lot actually does it this season, it will always remembered as the title we had to relinquish because of troubles off the field, not on it. Everything they have quoted is what he said, left a few bits out fair enough but I didn't read anything there that was said in the interview out of perspective.
