Champions League - Celtic win 'less likely than Tyson playing Phantom of Opera'

Celtic fans might want to look away now. The Hoops aren't just underdogs against Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday - they're rated less likely to win than Mike Tyson is to land the lead role in Phantom of the Opera in London's West End.

Celtic can be backed at a massive 45-1 to beat tournament favourites Barcelona in their Champions League match in Spain tonight - the longest odds ever offered for a British side to win away from home in the competition.

And it's hard to disagree. Celtic's victory against Spartak Moscow a few weeks ago was their first away win in Europe since 1986 (when they beat Irish side Shamrock Rovers), and given the relative strengths of Spartak and Barcelona it seems inconceivable that Neil Lennons's team can get a result at the Nou Camp.

But exactly how unlikely is 45/1? We've taken a look at some of the other bets available via bookmarkers Paddy Power, William Hill and Ladbrokes to give you some idea of how remote the chances seem of a Celtic win - every one of these options is rated more likely than the Glasgow club winning.

The Guardian's Ewan Murray on Twitter: "Celtic had been terrific without the ball... but loss of Samaras a serious blow, as of course was that equaliser."

:smokin:

Wait.... Terrific WITHOUT the ball ? I am not watching... but that sounds like Barca have all the possession.... does that mean this is a "park the bus" philosophy or am I missing something ? Serious question.
