Rangers owner Craig Whyte accused over 'unreliable' evidence in court battle.

Recommended Posts

Did Murray always deal legally and had no skeletons in the cellar, this or that dispute with the folk he dealt with privately or as a busniess-man? Only that the press at the time apparently did not deem it necessary to splash it over the pages, or did not dare?

This thing has been around for a few weeks now and the DR clearly takes another opportunity to put the boot in here ... and from what we can read on here it seems the strategy works.

If the man came to you with a proposed business venture, would you trust him with your money?

Personally I would run a mile.

He doesn't seem to mind his name being dragged through the court every couple of weeks. So why would he be concerned about the Rangers name.

Whyte can be criticised for a lot of things but I fail to see what the issue is in respect of the article. The opposing lawyer says he's unreliable? So what? Do you expect him to say he's wonderful? It's a cheap soundbite.

As for the issue in respect of his disqualification, what relevance is that to this case? He's quite right not to give any details on it.

It's just anti-Rangers reporting by the Record again.

The issue is not about his disqualification per se, it's the fact that he said he couldn't remember why he had been disqualified. If he had taken your position he or his lawyer could have argued that it wasn't relevant.

As far as I can see The Record have simply reported the facts of what was said in court as have STV http://news.stv.tv/scotland/west-central/294269-sheriff-will-decide-if-rangers-owner-craig-whyte-has-to-pay-roofing-firm-90000/.

Everyone is entitled to draw their own conclusions.

The impression I have is of someone who engages the services of professional advisers or purchases goods or services (pensions advice, tax advice) and then tries to find any excuse not to pay for them.

As for Whyte dragging the name of Rangers through the mud. It's been dragged kicked and shit on for the last god knows how many years by the media in this country without a word of protest from the club. I don't see how Whyte is making it any worse.

Is it just me that's noticed for every positive story, the media have to churn out two bad stories. We make a move in the transfer market which the usual suspects have been telling us we cant afford, and we suddenly get the usual shit story about Whyte. The worrying thing is how quick the Rangers support are to lap it up.

Let me ask you something BH do pay every time someone asks you for money willy nilly without checking if they are actually due any money. If your answer is no and you do check what happens when you think you shouldn't pay the invoice, do you just say oh well for a quite life I'll just pay.

That's really harsh and unfair on the people here who've been worried about this takeover from square one. If Craig Whyte was honest and open about his past companies and had done everything properly at Rangers since he took over, then nobody would have any reasons to be concerned.

I disagree. If we knew back then the full truth about his past not a single fan would have supported his takeover.

Easy enough to check before it gets as far as court, where you then have to pay costs.

I'm very unhappy about business in gerneral moving into the game of football, but the money now in the game seems that is the way it;s going.

I don't trust CW as his record is not anything other than to make money for his companies. He may well do Rangers a service in the years to come, but his past actions are one of the greatest worries fot me as regards the club I support,

Then again, we're all now conned into the idea that business will save us, even though it was unfettered business practises that got us all in the shit in the first place.

Craig Whyte is no diffirent from anyother businessman that has recently taken over any football club, in fact, he may be worse than the rest of them as he appears to have no money at all.
