Super_Ally 0
Does Davis just automatically assume the role when Weir leaves this week then?

Presumably, although most and I include myself would prefer Bocanegra as captain.
Zappa 0
I'd rather the armband went to Boca. No doubt about it. It would be better if Davis only had to concentrate on his game and I don't think the captain's duty would affect Boca in a bad way since he captained Fulham and he's been the USA captain for a good number of years.
Darthter 542
Would definitely go for Boca....also, just think of the new clothing options with Cpt America on them!!!
Danny 0
Problem is Boca's only been at Ibrox for half a season. Has he earned the right to captain a club of this magnitude after such short service? (btw, I'm a big Boca fan, probably Ally's best signing, I just don't know if he's earned the right - but I do agree Davis is not a good captain)
Super_Ally 0
Davis has more than enough to worry about with his own performances never mind captaincy so as Zappa suggested it might help him. Though would he see it as a snub and would it hurt him and his attitude?

If he wasn't such an experienced pro and experienced captain I'd probably say no to that question Danny, but lets not forget that Boca has 100+ international caps and is a very experienced captain. He's simply the best man for the job.

Davis seems unable to play his game whilst being captain, too much pressure, maybe? Although is Davis NI's captain now, still that is a minimal number of internationals if true? S_A the snub would probably make him quite annoyed if he was overlooked, would affect his morale if he was effectively stripped of the captaincy.

That's the problem mate and that's why I think Davis will keep the armband even although Boca is the best man for the job.

That really depends on Davis.....he MAY not want to be captain log-term!!! He may feel personally that it is an honour, but one that's having a negative effect on his game. Therefore MAY welcome passing it on. As for Boca....he wore the armband against Arbroath, even with longer serving players in the team!!!
