A Very Bad Scenario

Recommended Posts

The whole takeover was structured so that LBG wouldn't be owed the cash anymore.

I doubt that LBG just allowed the debt transferred from Rangers to its holding company.

Why do you doubt that BD, it would mean that it isn't in the public eye any more as everyone inc Whyte says it is cleared.

Liberty Capital our ultimate owner is based in the BVI as are six subsidiaries of LBG. LBG are bankers to some of if not all Whytes other companies, LBG hold the mortgage on Whytes (and Mrs Whytes) castle. Whyte has a long association with LBG, as far as I'm aware we still bank with LBG and LBG are the holders of the long lease on the Albion car park.

Neither LBG nor Murray could be seen to publicly pull the plug on RFC and have found someone who simply wouldn't give a flying f*&k about doing so, LBG wins Murray wins Whyte wins the only losers are the fans, 26,000 small shareholders, a few thousand debenture holders, HMRC and a myriad of creditors.

I'm interseted to know what you think might play out if we actually WIN the EBT case. If what you've been saying turns out to be accurate or even close to it, then winning the EBT case isn't even an option for Whyte because he doesn't have the money to support the club. What would or could he do in the event that we win it?

Maybe as being suggested, it was simply structured so that the club itself didn't owe LBG the cash anymore.

Another maybe is that underneath all the secrecy there's a cunning SDM plan to get some of his cash back.

Ellis had a 5-year plan (or perhaps just an ambition) to develop the assets and then sell off the Club; perhaps he sold it (the plan) to Whyte. The offshore connection needs more investigating.

LBG wanted their cash, not to switch it to a less secure company not in the company eye. Their motivation was not just to move it to a company whose only asset is the shares in a company that may become worthless. They had more security when the debt was with the club.

What's LBG's commercial incentive?
