The 'Atmosphere' At The Club

Recommended Posts

Not only that but it shows a large amount of ignorance as well. He basically blames the Saints loss on McCulloch and when mentioning his own red card he says the game was already decided (in other words, we would have lost even if I had stayed on the park), effectively absolving himself of any blame for his own red card.

And then to talk about the "atmosphere" being bad at the club just adds impetus to Celtic.

Foolish statement in the extreme.

Think we are reading too much into these quotes which could be read in different ways.

Smacks of a journalist selecting one or two lines which make good copy, slam them together without context and voila, you have a wee headline grabber that will draw some hits on a website. I'd be interested to hear/see/read the full interview.

Can't agree. The headline is 'Goian slams Gers hara-kiri habit' - which is, for once, entirely reflective in the quotes Goian's given. There is no context under which him saying 'hara-kiri' could be misconstrued. It means categorically to effectively commit suicide. These are not words any footballer should ever make about their team.

Put simply it's one of the worst interviews any Ranger (bar Bougherra) has given in recent years.

I like Goian, I've seen him being interviewed and he seems a nice guy with a bit of life about him, but these comments were awful.

I would be annoyed if there wasn't an "atmosphere" at the club after losing a 12 point advantage.

I agree, they should be quite angry with themselves (including Ally) for the failures recently.

But saying it publicly on the eve of a crucial OF decider is abysmal.
