Feynoord - FC. Twente

Recommended Posts

After watching a hour and a half of crap yesterday I have just watched one of the best football games I have watched for years. Feynoord-Twente. Feynoord were just fantastic in the first half closing Twente down as soon as they came near the half-way line. John Guidetti who is a 20 year old Swedish striker on loan from Man.City was and is absolutely brilliant for Feynoord. This guy is really worth watching. He works like a horse closing the central defenders down and is pure class when he is attacking. He scored a real hat-trick scoring 3 goals in one half to give Feynoord a 3-0 lead at half-time. Twente threw everything at Feynoord in the second-half and pretty quickly had the game back to 3-2. It was total end to end stuff for the last 30minutes with Twente throwing all caution to the wind in the hope of getting the equaliser. It ended 3-2 but I was sitting on the edge of my seat right up until the final whistle. Absolutely fantastic to watch and that is from someone who normally finds Dutch football boring.

Was in the pub last night and the Shalke v Bremen game was on. Every time I looked up it seemed to be a cracking game, end to end stuff, good technique, tactical awareness, pace, the works. Basically everything that Scottish football is not.
