What's the prize, promotion to the first team? I do think that Agree/Thanks IS the BEST outcome, so perhaps it's run its course. But how on earth is Pete going to explain his shocking misuse of the apostrophe. The wife always tells me as well that I misuse the wee pointy thing in my y's but she says that it is better to have too much than too little.
