Aluko - Racist abuse

Recommended Posts

All over FF. Second time this week apparently.

Twitter poster (?) writing racist remarks to Aluko, about the Ibrox disaster and general homophobic comments.

Are there any anti-racism charities that get as many millions given to them as NBM? Or do we only care about prejudice based on which fictitious version of a religious (read nonsense) story you believe and not about (in my opinion) more serious incidents of bigotry such as racial intolerance?

Funny you say that, response one bear got from SRTRC:

Dear *****,

Thank you for your e.mail.

Racism and sectarianism is unacceptable in all aspects of society, including football and via social networking, and we will continue to campaign and educate against such behaviour. We work proactively across Scotland with young people and adult football supporters to promote our anti-racism / anti-sectarianism message and the dangers of racism / sectarianism. Scottish Premier League clubs and Scottish Football League clubs are major supporters of the campaign and work closely with us on our events at their clubs promoting equality and respect.

When racist / sectarian incidents are thought to have occurred we are proactive in promoting our strong anti racism / anti-sectarianism stance. Unfortunately, we are not a policy making body, we are an educational charity, therefore, I would recommend you forward this complaint with the evidence you attached to Twitter, the Police, the SFA, SPL, Celtic and Rangers.

Please see the link below for information on a similar incident:

If I can be any further assistance to you please do not hesitate to contact me.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Original email was sent to them and the police.
