Fixing the Formation - Has Ally Answered?

Recommended Posts

I know we disagree on this Danny but attitude and heart win you games, what system, formation makes little difference if the players couldn't give a monkeys. Now if a player takes the huff and doesn't fancy how the manager wants him to play then that player is no good to us and should be punted quick smart.

Where I will agree with you on Naisy missing is he would go out and sweat blood for the team no matter where he was asked to play and that has been sadly missing. But again that's down to his attitude to give his all.

I'm getting tired of the missing Naismith effect. I know he's very important to us, but if we can only win with him in the team, then that makes us a one man team and we don't deserve to win the title.

I agree with Eragtrude, Wylde and Aluko will inject some urgency into the team, providing Jelavic swithes on, and Lafferty starts to score, and of course, we're not denied the services of Aluko for a coupel of games.

Thanks to the likelihood of Aluko now being banned for 2 matches, my blog is pretty much moot.

Expect us to struggle without him for those 2 games.

Dutchy, I completely take your point - but when you lose your best player you have to compensate for it. We weren't a one man team any more than Barca (Messi) or Real (Ronaldo) are but take them out and you have to find the best system to compensate for losing a key player in a crucial position.

I saw signs Ally had done that in the last 2 or so games, but now with a key component of that solution probably gone, we'll have issues again on the right of midfield. We literally don't have anyone other than Aluko and Naisy for that position. Ortiz hasn't done it, and neither has Bedoya.

That's true to an extent Danny, but surely McKay has was not signed to sit on the bench. If Aluko is going to be missing for a couple of games, Mckay has to be granted a chance to find out about how SPL football works, and he can't do that without playing.

I suppose we'll just have towait and see what Ally chooses to do!

We've seen him on the left wing. He was simply atrocious. He's not a winger. He's a left sided CM (a position we're really yet to see him in). I shudder to imagine how bad he'd be on the right wing.

Someone else can go on the right, if he goes in the middle.

There does still seem to be a penchant for playing players out of position at Ibrox, which to some extent, if you're a footballer, you should be able to handle better than some are currently capable of doing so.
