54andcounting 0
Thought so. Shocking when a player from St Johnstone knocks back an offer from Rangers. I wonder what we offered him! I can see it already, he'll have a blinder today and beat us single handedly. Sandaza had a decent game. Ran rings around some of our players at times. ian1964 10,780
BF won 4 SPL medals that means that Ness has to win 2. He has a SPL medal for last season meaning he only needs to win one more for the rest of his Rangers career. As he has played this season he will probably get one this season as well. Statistics are a wonderful thing. Scottish Premier League (5): 1998â??99, 1999-00, 2002â??03, 2004â??05, 2008â??09 Scottish Cup (5): 1999-00, 2001â??02, 2002â??03, 2007â??08, 2008â??09 Scottish League Cup (5): 1997â??98, 2001â??02, 2002-03, 2004â??05, 2007â??08 Birmingham City Football League Cup (1): 2010-11 [edit] IndividualSFWA Footballer of the Year (2): 1999-00, 2002â??03 SPFA Players' Player of the Year (1): 2002â??03 SPL Player of the Month (4): November 2000, December 2000, February 2002, January 2003 Quite successful I'd say. There are an awful lot of people with short memories out there.

He was good first time round when playing with much better players than the rest of the SPL and 9iar. He should have stayed at Blackburn to be honest he was crap for us when he came back and a disrupting influence. Ness already has an SPL medal and if we win the league this season will probably have 2. Statistics are not always a good way of judging things. But you said that if Ness achieved half as much as BF it would be a disappointing career..... look at Ferguson's career and if anyone can consider that a failure I would be both surprised and disappointed. Dont look at what happened in the last 18 months of his time at Ibrox as an indicator for what he has done in football. I, like you, was disappointed how he seemed to control not just the dressing room but the club in the PLG fiasco - but that doesnt take away from the things he DID achieve with the club over his two stints. He also played admirably with Blackburn when he was there, winning MOTM on a number of occasions. Ferguson is/was a very talented player who won plenty of personal AND team awards in his career. If Ness achieves half as much as BF did then, IMO, he will have had a largely successful career.

Had we beat Zenit and won another SPL match we would have had the quadruple. I'd call that a bawhair tbh, but let's not split hairs...
