Not necessarily. I believe McCoist has a very small budget to work with, and I think his preference is to use it for strikers. Should he be unable to bring in a striker, that then paves the way for the likes of Jaager - being a free agents means the transfer deadline isn't a concern.

Surely we should have of a wait and see attitude?

 

We were very embarrassed when they signed Loovens, but in hindsight (which is wonderful) we were glad they did.

 

But that isn't the point.

 

The fact is they nip in and pinch our targets with sickening regularity. Whether that player works out or not barely even matters. It just makes us look amateur when we see another player we broadcast interest in instead signing for timmy.
