We're financially appalling, have no money, the press about us is mostly negative, the tax case is ongoing, we're floundering in the league, we don't have Europe, and we're abysmally out of form. Then again, O'Squeal may want to do his old club a favour, no?! Very much depends on what you earned before, whether the tax case will have anything to do with your contract, whether you had Europe before and will or will not miss it for a half-season, and whether to see the low-form as your stepping stone into the first eleven., resurrect your career etc.. It's not attractive to potential new signings. whether you had Europe before and will or will not miss it for a half-season, Europe has, and always will be, a massive carrot for players moving to a new club. If as much as anything else, they love the massively increased win bonuses you get at that level. and whether to see the low-form as your stepping stone into the first eleven., resurrect your career etc.. Or ... each coin has two sides. You have a point regarding form - players have ego and as much as they might feel it would make them more likely to play in the first 11, they might also believe they're the player to turn the form around. Scottish giants, Glasgow Rangers, are looking into the possibility of signing South African defender Siboniso Gaxa, if their move for Estonian Enar Jaager does not materialise. Rangers, who won the Scottish Premier League last season, have been assessing the 27-year-old Estonian with the aim of filling their right-back void, but if he is deemed not good enough, or they cannot agree on personal terms, then they will look to Gaxa. Bafana Bafana’s right back has been a consistently good performer for his current club, Lierse in Belgium, but recently spoke out on wanting to move on to bigger and better things. The crew spoke to De Pallieters recently and they explained that they were keen to hold on to Gaxa but that they only wanted happy players, and wouldn’t stand in his way if he wanted to leave. Now it seems that he could well get his wish, his agent, Rob Moore, told the crew, “Yes, Gaxa is seriously in the frame for that move, if they don’t sign Jaager then he is their next target.” The 27-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns man has been one of Bafana’s star performers and has cemented his place as the best right back the country has to offer. The Bosnian striker arrived at Murray Park on Monday and was expected to spend the week with Ally McCoist’s squad. Muslimovic, who is without a club following his summer departure from PAOK Salonika, remains open to an offer from the SPL side. But his agent, Jan Bezemer, has confirmed his client will spend the remainder of the week in England. Zlatan trained at Sunderland today and we will now see how that works out. “Zlatan had a very good feeling about Rangers. They are a very nice club, the trainer was a good man and he spoke very well. “Rangers want him but we have lots of interest in the player. He would like to play in a good league. The leagues in Scotland and England fall into that category.” The striker, who has 33 international caps, was one of a number of trialists under consideration by McCoist. Dutch midfielder Luigi Bruins also arrived on Monday, joining Honduran midfielder Jorge Claros and Estonian right back Enar Jaager. Muslimovic, who has Swedish citizenship, played youth football in Sweden before being picked up by Udinese. The forward spent seven years under contract with the Serie A club but failed to win a first team place. Udinese sent the player out to seven clubs and after short-term spells at Perugia, Pistoiese, Ascoli, Padova, Rimini, Messini and Parma, he left the club permanently to join Atalanta. Says he had a "good feeling about the club"....then at a whiff of better money, buggers off after one days training!!!!
