Gazza_8 233
Yes, cant think of anything better. You ? Doesnt matter, how many has McCoist had on trial whilst manager ? 3 ? The two Indians plus Aluko. So 1 out of 3 isnt bad shooting - or would you prefer he just signed them unseen ? Daft question. McCoist and Walter do seem to get the fans hopes up by inviting players over for a trial then knocking them back. Remember Rhys Murphy? On, off, on, off etc etc. Joe Sise was another. It seems to be a trait (agenda?) our managers have.
metlika 0
Saw that, he's better away getting some games at a decent level than sitting on the bench, might just be the making of him. As long as we don't sell him for penny only for him in the next 2 years to be sold for millions. I was disappointed he was not played yesterday, seems he only plays if there is no other choice available.

Has it not occurred to you that perhaps these guys on trial simply arent good enough ?? Better to see them on trial than sign them unseen, correct ? So why the facetious nonsense about "enjoy your week on trial" ? Some would call what McCoist is doing as fiscal prudence. Instead of just signing someone without seeing them in the flesh, it makes sense to have them on trial first. Maybe you are right, maybe we should just sign them without seeing them play... ala McKay, Bedoya et al - yep, that makes sense to pay them thousands a week without having seen them play and then have them provide little to the team. Perhaps those players have burned Rangers fingers and they dont want to have a similar situation. No need to get precious about the "agenda" Gav. metlika 0
Jamie Vardy tweeting he's in Glasgow. Could be us could be them, can't see us paying 1 mill for a Fleetwood player. Yeah Fleetwood are training in Glasgow.

Not wanting to get in the way of your tiff but I am sure we had a few more on trial at the beginning of the season Craig.

Would've liked to see him get another go as well, thought he might have when Healy never really got going in the second half.
ian1964 10,780
I don't see anything wrong at all in getting players in on trial, quite the opposite in fact,Juventus had Aluko on trial, lot's of clubs do it so why not?

Why only mention the two players who haven't made it yet for us? Why not mention Boca and Goian who were also signed, like Bedoya and McKay, without being trialed? The vast majority of trialists are trialists because they're not good enough to be signed without being trialed.
