GovanAllan 0
I think the replica shirt thing is absolutely bonkers idea if that’s Rangers angle!! I live in Thailand, you can get genuine shirts for all the big teams here for the £40mark, yet two doors down you can buy a fake one that looks and feels the same for £2, see where i’m coming from. India is the same. Maybe looking at selling the games live have no idea who it works around the world but India must be a huge market for live sport.

When the tims tried this angle with Nakamura was there not just a small amount of income shared around the SPL clubs?

Super_Ally 0
Do we not keep all the money from Rangers Tv? Fair point. I just remember when tims were bumping their gums about the money they made from buying asian players that any shirts bought were knock offs and any additional tv rights would be officially shared out amongst the SPL clubs. Dont know if we would make much through additional Rangers Tv subscriptions in India though?

Haven't a clue who they are meant to be talking to, unless it's someone from the I-League.
ian1964 10,811
INDIAN hotshots Jeje Lalpekhlua and Sunil Chhetri are scheduled to jet into Scotland next weekend to begin their Rangers trial. The deal had threatened to stall after the players' clubs - Pune and Mohun Bagan AC - reacted angrily to the news -their star men, left, were lined up to head abroad at a critical stage in the Indian top flight. On Wednesday Chhetri hit a double and Lalpekhlua scored the other in India's 3-2 win over Malaysia - sparking fresh speculation their trip to Glasgow would be shelved unless Rangers paid a bumper fee in advance. But yesterday an agent involved in the deal, Kenny Moyes, said: "Despite what is being said in India both clubs are aware of what is happening and Rangers' interest. All the paperwork is completed and we expect the lads to arrive next weekend." Gers' bid to tap into the Asian market saw them yesterday announce plans to offer a Hindi Twitter commentary of tomorrow's game with St Johnstone. Rangers/SPL games are live on terrestrial TV in a lot of Asia from the middle east onwards. They’ll make peanuts

Bears 0
Simple fact. Rangers are not a big club by any means outside the UK. Lots of Rangers fans seem to think we're huge. We aint. FACT
