A rather strange 'take' on Novo.

Recommended Posts

Let me say straight away, I like Novo as a player, but can anybody deny that since about 7 games before he scored [the fortunate] winner on 'Helicopter Sunday' until the Livorno game, any time he played he was garbage ?

Pearson is another matter. He IS garbage. :ffs:

Why drag PLG or 'squad rotation' into the debate ?

FFS ! They canny give us credit for ANYTHING.

Novo is full of enthusiasm,of that there is no doubts, and it's fair to say he has chipped in with a few fair goals in his time at Rangers, some of them very important ones as well, but, for the life of me i still can't help thinking that his ball control, his passing and his going past a player borders on schoolboy stuff....He more often than not ends up with the ball stuck between his legs at times,or even worse, like Ted McMinn of old, ends up behind him while he's still running forward...

I like the wee guy, plays with his heart on his sleeve like Prso does, but if i'm being realistic here,he's not that great a footballer..

Just my humble opinion of course..

Nah, as a footballer per se, his touch and skill can be inconsistent but when he's confident and playing well he's a handy player to have around - as the last 2 games have proved.

He's also shown some nice grit and determination to get back into the team by working hard and believing in himself.

An excellent player to have in our squad. Think back to last season when he couldn't hit a barn door then think back to Sunday when he had that shot just after he scored the winner? If he hit that shot last seaso it would've ended up out the ground but his confidence is coming back which is a good thing.

He's a player who plays on confidence. If it's there then he's great but if it's not then he's a passenger.
