Cool. I've only started betting recently. But had enough coupons come in to become quite the addict. Still not sure on all the aspects of betting though.

Stop mate you can never win in the long run. A poor Bookie doesn't exist.

That single word right there suggests you should NOT be betting. If you have an addictive nature (which I do....) then you should stay away from betting and gambling (which I dont....) - not a good cocktail that. I keep myself in check as much as I can but I have a work colleague who is every bit as bad as me so we are betting 100 quid a day on the horses..... thankfully we havent lost a ton yet.

But, for your own good, dont bet if you are addictive. These wins can quickly become losses and when they do, with being addictive, you will want to chase them.

It can quickly become a downward spiral which is difficult to get out of.

I have a cousin who gambled away the council tax for months on end. His Mrs thought he was paying it, eventually got a demand and they were thousands in the hole. Harsh times indeed !

What about a generous one? :P

Paddy Power is about as generous as it gets. Giving you decent odds, SP if higher.

However, the reason they do that...... is because they will still collect more than they pay out.

John McCririck(?) of CH4's racing racing pundit is a failed bookie, but it's true, there's not a lot of them about.

He's been bankruped a few times as a bookie and was a heavy loser at gambling but poor is not one thing I would say about McCririck........
