gisabeer 409
seems derby are showing an interest and could be putting in a bid at the winter transfer window. they have already made inquiries at ibrox and if the price is right they will get their man. i would take the money in this case as i feel buffel flatters to decieve at times. he looked a good prospect when he came but i dont think hes fullfilled his potential. scored a great goal yesterday but he misses easir chances on a regular basis. dont think he deserved mom yesterdeay either.
Laudbertz 0
I dont think he'd go to Derby. I agree he's a bit off form at the moment (and Barry should have got MOTM) but i wouldnt let him go, he's got what it takes, PLG just has to get that out of him.
fraser54 0
buffel is still a young player and his future is bright at rangers its not bright at derby plus buffel is well better than derby
ascender 352
I was starting to think that Buffel was a luxury we can't afford in the SPL as he was so inconsistent, especially when he starts, but he certainly put a shift in yesterday for us. I wouldn't have thought he'd fancy a move to Derby over us though.
Frankie 8,552
He's improved a lot in the last couple of games but if the price was right I would sell. Especially if we could replace him with Scott Brown.
Laudbertz 0
Especially if we could replace him with Scott Brown. Is a move for Brown still on the cards for the January window Frankie?... that you know of. I agree, would be a great signing, if the price was right that is.

Especially if we could replace him with Scott Brown. Agreed on both counts Frankie. I still feel Buffel is too lightweight for the SPL and he is posted missing in games. Scott Brown on the other hand gives a shift every game he plays, whether he is on form or not.
elderslieblue 0
I wouldn't sell him. He's a fantastic ball player. He canny tackle, but then neither could Tommy McLean and some Bears still bemoan the fact he's gone. He ain't suited to the Scottish game when it comes down to the midfield kicking matches but then he doesn't have an Iain Ferguson to do his fighting for him.

But does that not mean that in those games (which are quite common in the SPL) that he becomes a passenger ? If that is the case then IMO he is a luxury player that we could get better from. I like Buffel, tons of skill, but he is a passenger far too often.
elderslieblue 0
Agreed.............to a certain extent Craig. But maybe I still think we need a luxury somewhere in a team. Our problem recently was that we had too many passangers. When everything 'clicks' and they're all playing well, Buffel will come to the fore. I've no doubt.
