Premier League Sunday - Spurs v Arsenal

Recommended Posts

Fancy Chelsea to win at Bolton, wont be easy but they should have enough.

Swansea v Stoke - 10 years ago these 2 were playing each other in the 3rd tier with Swansea getting relegated that year and Stoke losing in the play offs. Im impressed with what Pulis has done and think they will win.

Fulham v QPR - A rare london derby between these 2. Home win.

Spurs v Arsenal. For the first time I can ever remember I really fancy Spurs to win this and it could be a thumping like 3 or 4 nil. That said I wouldnt be surprised if Wenger pulls off a miracle as you can never write him off even though its the worst Ive ever seen them. But I'll go with Spurs.

Spoke too soon about Chelsea, they are crusing. 2 up inside 15 mins. Bolton were a good side last season but on free fall at the moment. I thought both them and Sunderland would kick on to be top half - top 8 teams this season but both have went backwards by 2 steps.

Not sure about Chelsea's midfield, Merieles was a unexpected signing. Lampard just scored but he has lost another yard of pace and he was never a quick player in the first place. Havent seen much of Ramires. They are missing Essien, have never replaced Makelele and still think they need Modric. Mata looks quality though.

Aye but its the worst Arsenal team for generation under yourself

I can remember back to the mid to late 80s down south but mainly only saw Liverpool and Everton on MOTD. Saw from around 89 I remember Arsenal winning the title twice and then the generation of THAT defence. There was a few seasons in early to mid 90s when they werent top 3 or 4 but no way were they defensively as bad as what they are now and they still had winners like Ian Wright in the team. And of course then Wenger came and transformed them.....

EDIT 4-0 Chelsea now

Cheeky chunt :D

I remember watching Pat Jennings, Kenny Sansom, Tony Woodcock, Alan Sunderland, Liam Brady, Pat Rice, Frank Stapleton etc etc - man.... I am OLD !!

Vagely remember seeing Jennings at the 86 World Cup, he was lobbed by Brazil from about 40 yards IIRC. Slightly remember Stapleton.

But I do remember Brady playing, when I started going to Upton Park he was playing for West Ham 89/90 season and still ran the show in the middle of the park.

Brady was a fantastic player. Jennings was my hero because I wanted to be a keeper.... and Sansom won player of the year when I went to the official awards with my dad. Great night out except someone on our bus busted his kneecap when he fell on a carpet runner.... ended up sitting outside hospital till 5am !!
