That's rubbish. The police don't care if fans keep or sack their season tickets. They'll still have a job to do at football grounds. The Government on the other hand.....

 

I dont think Zappa was saying the police wanted ST's binned. Reading what he posted it looks more like he is saying those behind the attacks on Rangers - and I dont think the police have been attacking Rangers.

Just wondering why would you serve the agenda just for a job when it effects some who are innocent? Those who make the policies dont give a shit about the police, they use such divisions to force these crazy new laws through on all walks. When those acting on behalf of these men in suits at the top wake up they cant achieve what they are trying to do. another example very similar to the policing in this case is at airports where you are not allowed to carry a simple bottle of water on a flight when thats one of the most likely places you are going to be thirsty because you have these workers who think they are doing their job removing items. Its like we are being trained for concentration camps....checked everywhere for every single little thing due to a false threat.

 

On a side note. Is this just a ban in Scotland? Watching the Everton v Liverpool games yesterday I clearly saw a Everton fan drinking a bottle which looked like coke due to the colour.

 

The Scotland v England rugby match yesterday showed fans clearly mixing together and drinking cans of beer in the stands...can you imagine that in football?

 

With all the flying I have done I have never been refused a bottle of water on a flight. If I buy a bottle of water in the airport concourse (after clearing security) then I have been allowed to take that water on the flight. A bottle of water will always be confiscated when clearing security though.

 

Did they give you a reason for not allowing it ? Which airline Gribz ?

 

Definitely different rules down south. I can get a beer at the Emirates for domestic games and they even keep the bar open at full time so you can have a few jars and chat about the game !

Every airline in Singapore refuses bottles. You have to clear airport concourse twice here, first time you are allowed bottles into the shopping area etc but then before going on board you are checked again and no bottles allowed. I had a shower gel bottle with a tiny amount left over for an over night stay which met the legal limits but because the bottle said 200ml (from when it was new and full) on it I wasnt allowed it through, so I about turned went to the airport shop and bought a new full 250ml bottle sealed in plastic and was allowed it on - absolute insane! I showed the guy I am going onboard with about 10 times more shower gel now. The guys words "just doing what Im told"....my words "exactly your serving the agenda". My point if those serving all refused these robotic instructions then simple things like this wouldnt occur.

 

Last week KLM from Abdn to SG, I bought a bottle of Lucozade sport after security in Adbn, it was allowed on board the flight as it was bought after security but I didnt drink it. I reached Amsterdam for my transfer and the same bottle that WAS allowed on my first flight with the same airline was refused on my next flight....no explanation except no bottles allowed.

Although we give them money, the police are answerable only to themselves. They should be acting in fair and proportionate manner, and upholding the law and protecting the public.

However, the stewards are employed by the Club. Surely the Club are able to dictate what parameters should be employed when stewards are carrying out their duties. In my view that means that we are either not communicating our viewpoint to the security company or its something altogether more sinister.

There are plenty of companies around. If it were up to me, I'd have KPIs in place and make sure that the security firm knows who's boss, and how they should be going about their business.

The only thing I can think of is blocking the view from people behind you who wish to sit. But there has to be an argument for standing sections being brought into grounds, it would really increase the atmosphere.

 

Someone mentioned earlier, Whyte should be a bit more vocal on these issues.
